This week our Student Council had a fantastic opportunity to make a real contribution to the local community. They were invited to a workshop in Moyle Park to join with other local Student Councils to give their input into the new Clondalkin Local Area Plan. 6 planners from South Dublin County Council worked with the children to gather their feedback on how they use Clondalkin, what they like/dislike and what they would like to see in the future. The councils explored what Clondalkin might look like using three focus areas: Vitality, Natural Environment and Heritage. The planners will now look at their input and include this in the draft Local Area Devlopment Plan which should be unveiled later in 2024. The Student Council are looking forward to seeing some of their ideas perhaps becoming a reality in the future!
