We went outside to the garden to explore the different trees growing around our school. We collected leaves and fruits from the trees. This year we are celebrating the native hawthorn tree, a tree that is a big part of Irish folklore and is steeped in magic. We are looking forward to reading Under the Hawthorn Tree after Christmas.
